Power Yoga with Cheryl

Power Yoga is a vigorous flowing sequence of poses designed to warm the muscles helping you to stretch, flex and tone with the added bonus of some relaxation and meditation time! Power Yoga isn’t a regimented Yoga Style which gives us the freedom to change the poses we perform each session! Remember you don’t need to be flexible to do Yoga – Just willing to have a go!

A little bit about me and my yoga journey. I found yoga in my early 20’s – it provided an amazing workout, I was never a gym junkie but loved that I could feel so much strength holding these poses/stretches just using my own body weight! Apart from the physical benefits – the mental and spiritual  gains although different for everyone can be profound and life changing. My own experience has been to appreciate all the little things, the little moments that we sometimes take for granted.  To be mindful of enjoying the moment, being kind to yourself and connecting to those around you and your environment

Originally from Gladstone, my husband and I have made Townsville our home after travelling and working in Newcastle, Brisbane, Broome and the Whitsundays.  Loving the warm, healthy, outdoor lifestyle of NQ –  in my downtime you’ll find me near the water reading supernatural fiction! Look forward to seeing everyone on the mat soon!
